The genus Leucojum (Leucojum) has 10 species of early sunny bulb plants with elegant droopy broad-colored flowers, single or collected in umbrellas on a short erect peduncle. The flowers are white with green or yellow spots on the petals. Leaves are linear, almost filamentous, dark green. Bulbs are small and rounded. Spring beltfish (Leucojum vernum) is the most common species. Leaves are belt-shaped, dark green. White flowers with a green spot on the petals bloom in March. White flowers (L. aestivum) have belt-shaped leaves and white flowers with green spots. They appear in late May - early June in low-flowered apical inflorescences on an erect peduncle. The white-flowered autumn (L. autumnale) is characterized by linear leaves and white flowers with a pink tint, which bloom at the end of August and bloom throughout September.

Cultivation
White flowers are used in curbs, rocky gardens and on lawns and lawns, where almost no care is required. Plants in pots grown outdoors can be temporarily brought into the house only shortly before flowering. Bulbs are planted at the end of summer (autumn white flowers) to a depth of 5 cm in loose, fertilized soils, moistened soil or in autumn (summer and spring white flowers) to a depth of 8-10 cm. It is better to leave bulbs in the ground without transplantation for several years. Every 2-3 years it is recommended to remove them from the ground and separate the children formed around the main maternal bulb, and then immediately plant them. The same applies to potted plants, the soil for them should consist of 1/2 of peat and 1/2 of fertile land with the addition of mineral complex fertilizer in an amount of 20-30 g per bucket of soil.

Location
White flowers spring and summer prefer midday; and autumn white flowers are grown in the open sun.
Temperature
All species are resistant to both high and low air temperatures.
Watering
Spring and summer white flowers are watered regularly, the soil under them should always be wet. Autumn white flowers are more resistant to drought and are successfully growing in arid areas.
Transplant
Plants in pots are transplanted into a new, if required, in September-October, in the same soil as recommended for cultivation.
Care
Wilted flowers and damaged leaves are removed.
Reproduction
White flowers are very easy to reproduce with children. The seedlings thus obtained bloom very quickly. Sowing also gives good results, but flowering occurs only after a few years.
Diseases
Diseases (gray rot) and pests (narcissic fly larvae and nematodes) penetrate plants through bulbs. These troubles can be avoided only by buying healthy bulbs.
Acquisition
Both seeds and bulbs of white flowers can be obtained in specialized companies. Make sure that the bulbs are completely healthy, there is no mold or rot on them. In horticultural centers and flower shops there are also seedlings in pots, it is bought at the stage of budding of plants.
It looks like a snowdrop, but blooms in the summer Plants of the genus Leucojum are often confused with representatives of the genus Snowdrop (Galanthus); outwardly, they are very similar. Both have drooping bell-shaped white flowers with characteristic green spots and six lobes of perianth. The difference between the plants of the two genera is found only with careful study. White flower is usually a few centimeters above the snowdrop, and on its peduncle, it has two or more flowers, and not one. The tepals are rounded and all of the same length, and the snowdrop has three outer ones longer than three inner ones. Plants of these genera differ in flowering time. In some species of white flowers, flowers are formed at the very beginning of spring, in others in summer, and in snowdrops they bloom usually in early spring.
