The genus Bathhouse, or Trollius, has about 30 species: herbaceous rhizomatous perennials-relatively frost-resistant plants. They can often be found in nature. The rhizome is short, branched, and densely covered with adventitious roots. The leaves are mostly basal palmate-dissected long-stemmed. Globular numerous flowers are large, single, composed mostly of sepals, colored in yellow and orange colors. The Asian bathhouse (Trollius asiaticus) is a compact shrub that grows up to 80 cm in height. Basal leaves are long-stemmed, stem leaves are sessile. The flowers are large, 6-7 cm in diameter, orange (in some varieties even light yellow). There are terry forms. European bathhouse (T. europaeus) - a species with a height of 50-60 cm. In late spring, large globular pale yellow flowers bloom and bloom almost all summer. The Chinese bathhouse (T. chinensis) grows up to 120 cm in height. Orange-yellow flowers are more developed than in the previous species; sepals are yellowish-golden. The flowering period is in the middle of summer. Bathhouse Ledebourii (T. ledebourii) is 70-80 cm high, with yellow flowers up to 8 cm in diameter. There are numerous hybrid varieties with orange flowers. Pygmy swimmer (T. pumilus) - a dwarf species, whose height does not exceed 30 cm. It has small wrinkled leaves and golden-yellow flowers with a diameter of 3-4 cm, the flowering period falls on June-July. Various garden forms of Asian, European and Chinese bathhouses are popular; usually all these hybrids are combined under the general name of the cultural bathhouse (Trollius x cultorum).

Cultivation
The bathing suit is used for planting in gardens and parks, in curbs, preferably in places with good soil moisture, as well as for cutting. Plants are hardy and moisture-loving; they are planted in spring or autumn in moist, loose and fertile soil at a distance of 30-40 cm from each other. During planting, organic fertilizer is added to the soil at the rate of 5-10 g per bucket of soil. If it was not possible to apply fertilizer earlier, then top dressing should be done 2-3 times in spring and summer, with an interval of 2 weeks, adding a complex fertilizer to the water for irrigation at the rate of 20 g per bucket. In autumn, the plant is pruned to the root to encourage new flowering.

Location
These plants need a place in the open sun or in partial shade.
Temperature
These plants - both species and cultivars-are resistant to both high and low air temperatures.
Watering
The swimmer likes high humidity. Therefore, if the soil is sufficiently moistened by itself, it should be watered frequently and abundantly.
Care
Remove wilted flowers and damaged parts.
Reproduction
Propagated by dividing bushes and sowing seeds in autumn, September or early spring.
Diseases
The bathing house is not particularly susceptible to infection with diseases and pests. It is difficult to grow in excessively dry soil.
Acquisition
Seeds should be purchased at specialized retail outlets (check the expiration date indicated on the package, otherwise they will germinate very slowly or not at all).
